The Raymond Farbos Contemporary Art Center is located in Mont-de-Marsan in a place full of character, the city's former grain hall. Labeled "work of general interest", it organizes exhibitions of living artists recognized or who, by their quality, deserve to be, and whose modes of expression reflect all current plastic production. Since 1986, it has already hosted more than 150 collective or monographic exhibitions. A good number of those who have been exhibited have become, for those who were not yet, internationally renowned creators: Miró, Braque, Chilida, Hans Arp, Olivier Debré, Buraglio, Velickovik, Chambas, Ben, Combas, Taillandier , Erro, etc. Meetings-debates with the artists, workshops and events intended for all audiences, and in particular schoolchildren, are regularly offered, allowing them to become familiar with art, to sharpen their gaze and curiosity, to better identify the process creative and overcome elitist cultural prejudice. Finally, visitors can discover the permanent collection, made up of donations from artists and loans from collectors, which occupies the two rooms upstairs.
