For the 10th consecutive year, PréhistoSite is organizing a round of the European Prehistoric Throwing Weapons Championship. This year, the competition will take place around the archaeological site of the Grottes du Pape on a course of 10 targets. Museum tours are offered at the usual times: 2:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m. & 4:30 p.m. In the ArchéoParc, flint knapping & fire lighting activities will be offered from 3:30 p.m. alternately On the championship program: Saturday, October 21 Archery event (in natural materials) from 1:30 p.m. at the archaeological site of the Grottes du Pape. The event is open to all (registration for the competition €5). Only bows made of natural materials, compound bows prohibited. ISAC round, precision shooting at 5:00 p.m. at the old school From 8:30 p.m. Meal of the Friends of Brassempouy association at 8:30 p.m. at the old school (Meal price: €18 / child under 12 & competitors: €14) Starter: Pumpkin and chestnut soup Main course: Aurochs steak and accompaniment Dessert: Fruit soup with a scoop of vanilla ice cream Wine and coffee included Registration at 06 70 37 73 23 Sunday, October 22 Spear-thrower shooting event from 9:30 a.m. at the archaeological site of the Pope's caves. The event is open to all (registration for the competition €5). Spears and spearthrowers made of natural materials only.
