A key figure in the flamenco world, journalist and writer José María Velázquez-Gaztelu will present his book, De la noche a la mañana: medio siglo en la voz de los flamencos, in Mont-de-Marsan. This work, which covers fifty years of flamenco, brings together interviews and articles published between 1972 and 2019 in various media by this privileged observer of the evolution of flamenco art, capable of inexhaustible astonishment and curiosity. The effort of this personality from the flamenco world and journalism, to expose the significant stages of flamenco guitar, song and dance, more than the encyclopedic goal, allows to trace the map of this art, from mythical names, like Mairena, Caracol or Tía Anica la Piriñaca, to revolutionaries, like Paco de Lucía, Antonio Gades, Camarón or Enrique Morente, without forgetting Israel Galván, Miguel Poveda, Arcángel or Rocío Márquez, among many other artists. The next day, a dialogue between the writer and Domingo González at Café Music at 3:30 p.m. The interview will focus on the vision of the future of a privileged observer of flamenco art during the second half of the 20th century and the first quarter of the 21st century.
