For the past 10 months since they were elected, the young people of the Children's Municipal Council have had plans for Mont de Marsan. Eight projects* highlight sharing, solidarity, and the challenges of tomorrow. By spring 2026, they will produce a video on sorting for children, a special student competition to win tickets to the Théâtre de Gascogne, special children's book boxes, a day dedicated to new and original sports open free of charge to CM1 and CM2 students, games workshops with children from the Entre Parenthèses association, meetings with seniors in nursing homes, and a show for hospitalized children. And for September, the Children's Municipal Council has prepared a wonderful day of activities focused on environmental and water conservation for young people in Mont de Marsan. Games about nature and its challenges: For children in CE2 and CM1 of Mont de Marsan: Saturday, September 20 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Nature Enjeux day will take place in the morning in the Lamarque-Cando room then at Parc Jean Rameau in the afternoon. With the help of young people from the CME and under the supervision of agents from the Town Hall, Francas, and parents of children from the CME. Participants will be able to: - win prizes at the game stands - spin a smoothie bike - test their knowledge during a nature quiz - pose during a zero waste picnic or wear out their shoes during the waste race. At this age, children develop their ecological awareness and their understanding of the world around them.
