  • Laballe is the story of the Laudet family since 1820. Each generation has brought its know-how, its innovations, its love for the land and its desire to share it. It is also the transcription of an atypical terroir, "Les Sables Fauves", an exceptional land of Bas-Armagnac Landes, at the origin of the freshness and finesse which characterize the Armagnacs of the estate. Laballe is the story of the Laudet family since 1820. One of Laballe's strengths: from the vines to the wine, from the distillation to the bottle of Armagnac, everything is controlled on site. Today Cyril, 8th generation, is committed to sustainable viticulture with the planting of resistant grape varieties such as Baco and the implementation of Agroforestry. With respectful agriculture and an image well anchored in his time, Cyril shakes up the codes: ARMAGNAC IS BACK! LES ARMAGNACS In the middle of the barrels sits the centerpiece of the cellar: a copper still from 1947 heated with wood, as before. Every year, from November and during the distillation period, the estate team takes turns day and night to supply it. The young Armagnacs are then housed in pieces of Gascon black oak, produced by the artisan Bartholomo, the last cooper in the area. Beyond the stock of vintages, the estate produces authentic Armagnacs with names steeped in history, such as Résistance or Exode XIV tracing the origin of the grape variety that makes up each bottle. THE WINES Since the 80s, Laballe has also been wine. Produced on the Landes and Gascon terroirs, the whites, rosés and reds are fresh, fruity, saline, soft, round, more structured or light but always with the same common denominator: a beautiful freshness which characterizes the house. THE EXPERIENCE The estate welcomes you all year round for tastings and live sales. It is also possible to book a guided tour, a personalized tasting workshop or to privatize the premises for seminars, company meals, birthdays or other events. Many events are also organized: come and discover the art of distillation during meals around the still in winter or enjoy the beauty of the spaces during the festive evenings in summer. You can extend the experience in the heart of the vineyard, by booking a stay in the mill (max 2 people) or in the house.
