Free Friday

Free Friday, organized by the Landes Eco-Citizen House, is back for its 6th edition! The concept is simple: on Thursday, November 27th, everyone can drop off items they no longer need—clothes, books, dishes, toys, small appliances, etc.—in a dedicated space at the Citizens' Circle in Mont-de-Marsan. Then, on Friday, November 28th, all these items will be made available free of charge to anyone who can use or needs them. Thanks to the energy and generosity of its army of volunteers, this community-minded, eco-friendly, and friendly event gives objects a second life. This initiative, which began with a citizens' collective that is still involved in Free Friday, has been hosted by the Citizens' Circle since its creation six years ago and is a shining example of collaboration and commitment to a more responsible and humane way of life, the antithesis of what Black Friday offers. In an effort to further this community-minded approach, any unclaimed items will be donated to the Landes Partage association. This initiative is supported by the organization and committed partners such as the Sictom du Marsan, illustrating a strong example of local solidarity and a circular economy.
