In Escalans, in the heart of the Landes forest, stop off at this living eco-museum of the Landes race. The discovery and educational farm presents the breeding of cows raised in the wild and all the tradition linked to this Landes sport. It is in tow that visitors approach this star of our arenas in its natural environment. The breeder Jean Barrère transmits his passion but also all his attachment to Landes Armagnac. Come and meet him in his Gascon universe: a life-size farmyard with its henhouse perched with Gascon chickens, Gascon pigs, Landes sheep, horses, geese, turkeys and wood pigeons. Many activities take place on site: demonstration of Landes racing, bullfighting games with Landes bulls in private arenas with covered stands. Catering possible on site for groups and by reservation. Visit to the pigeon grove and hunting days in season. For individuals, guided tours every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in July, August and September with the possibility of catering by reservation during Gascon evenings.
