In this reinterpretation presented as a fake lecture on Racine's masterpiece, the tragedy turns into a wacky monologue. A little gem of humor, knowledge and inventiveness, this Phèdre! deserves its exclamation point. Alone on stage, the actor Romain Daroles captivates the audience with the multiplicity of roles he takes on, the incongruous connections with our times and the tasty wordplay. As erudition is not soluble in humor, it is also a true compendium of classical theater that is revealed to us: mythological genealogy, virtues of the alexandrine, notion of catharsis...
