Come and live a unique experience, in the heart of Prehistory! The PréhistoSite has 3 spaces to visit: the museum, the ArchéoParc and the archaeological site of the Pope's caves. In the museum, discover the archaeological collections from excavations carried out on the archaeological site since the 19th century, as well as an exhibition of casts of the most beautiful prehistoric statuettes in Europe, including the famous Lady in the Hood. In the ArchéoParc, discover the Cro-Magnon environment and learn about the actions of Prehistory with participatory workshops such as rocket shooting and demonstrations of flint knapping and fire lighting. During the holidays, young and old are invited to participate in prehistoric painting, stone engraving or even jewelry making workshops, depending on the day. The archaeological site of the Pope's caves is open to guided tours only by reservation and in the morning. Located 3km from the museum, it can be visited in 2 ways, either by quick access (vehicle) or via the cave trail (7km hike).
