FISTS is a fight for self-control. These are 5 moments of a toxic love story, from meeting to breakup, told from the point of view of a woman in shock who seeks to find meaning in what she has experienced. FISTS is a show that deals with domestic violence, control, listening to one's limits, consent. It is a show aimed particularly at adolescents and young adults. The place of the body is found at the center of this dance musical score, in the jostling rhythm of mishandled landmarks, blurring directions, questioning our ability to become aware, to listen and respect our own limits. Like a desire to say NO. Like a desire to have the choice to say YES. Consent... willingly, unwillingly.
