    The Landes Prefecture is exceptionally opening its doors to the public this Saturday, September 20, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. From its construction in 1810 until its recent renovation, aimed at restoring the splendor and nobility lost over time, the building has been a central element of the city of Mons. The people of Landes and Mons are attached to this building. The building was designed by architects David-François Panay and Augustin Arthaud. Its design spanned from 1808 to 1810, and the first stone was laid on September 29, 1810. Guided tours are offered to discover the history and treasures of this building, built in the 18th century. The proposed slots are as follows: -9:00 to 10:00 -10:00 to 11:00 -11:00 to 12:00 -13:00 to 14:00 -14:00 to 15:00 -15:00 to 16:00 -16:00 to 17:00 Visits are free, but reservations are required by email at the following address: pref-jep@landes.gouv.fr Maximum 20 people per group
