Armagnac Ecomuseum

Between Landes and Gers, in the heart of Bas Armagnac, the entire Armagnac experience is offered to you: Château Garreau extends over 82 hectares. It houses on its site the Écomusée de l'Armagnac where the visitor will approach all the magic of Armagnac and its environment. Winner of the 2023 wine tourism trophies. Thanks to its museums, activities, nature trails and gourmet and cultural boutique, it is an emblematic place to discover the oldest brandy in France. To visit: the Winegrower's Museum (17th century), the Alembics Museum (collection of more than 10 stills), video, permanent exhibition of bottles, temporary exhibitions. An escape game and a treasure hunt are also offered. Two types of visits are offered: independent (visit of the winegrower) or guided (including the underground cellar, unique in Armagnac). Each visit includes a tasting of Floc de Gascony and Armagnacs. Take the opportunity to walk the nature trail around the 6 ponds of the estate and the botanical trail. The gourmet and cultural boutique offering Armagnacs, Flocs de Gascogne, regional products and books is free entry. In season, activities are organized: night market (August 1, 2024), discovery of the grape harvest (September), distillation (November).
