For this Fête de la Musique (Music Festival), the Ensemble Vocal du Marsan offers a musical journey in the company of French composers from the 17th to the 20th centuries. Clément Jannequin, Guillaume Costeley, Guillaume Bouzignac, and Marc-Antoine Charpentier will transport us to a world of romantic hope, the passage of time, and the new season. They will lead us to war with the English and to rejoice. We will celebrate Mary and Christ, the beautiful season, and nature. Charles d'Orléans will yearn for France while little Charmette will be reunited with her lover. These texts will be sublimely brought to life by the music of Francis Poulenc, Maurice Duruflé, Henri Büsser, Camille Saint-Saëns, Claude Debussy, Guy Ropartz, and Charles Koechlin. Thank you all for your presence and your attentive listening. We hope to see many of you there. Free admission.
