Le Pas du Monde

In a form of aerial poetry, these twenty-two acrobats create a sublime spectacle where bodies rise into the air to re-enchant life. Following Möbius (presented in 2023), a creation conceived in collaboration with Rachid Ouramdane, where the collective reenacted the mysterious score of starlings flying by the hundreds in a choreographed ballet, the XY collective now questions our relationship to the living world and the measurement of time. Human pyramids represent eroding mountains, swaying columns recall the wind's breath in the trees, and collapses evoke melting glaciers. The movements unfold at breakneck speed with a virtuosity that has become their trademark, composing and decomposing a perpetually evolving landscape. The choral songs they have incorporated into this creation join the vibration of their bodies, placing us in resonance with nature.
