Conceived to mark the 40th anniversary of the Alliance Federation, this evening where philosophy meets theater invites us on a unique journey: laughing at death to better honor life. Conceived to mark the 40th anniversary of the Alliance Federation, this evening where philosophy meets theater invites us on a unique journey: laughing at death to better honor life. Where are the dead? Where do they go? Do we need a grave to remember? Are we our bodies, and if so, what remains of us when they fall apart?... Don't expect Éric Fiat, the eminent philosopher, to provide answers during this lecture. He does better: he helps us remember to ask questions and, faced with absence, to constantly reformulate them to better savor existence. Freely inspired by the novel *The Intermittencies of Death* by José Saramago (Nobel Prize in Literature 1998), Aurélia Ciano gently leads us to demystify our relationship with the living in a world where Death itself decides to lay down its scythe. A heartwarming comedy featuring never-ending funerals, scientists searching for answers, and a Grim Reaper somewhat lost in the face of his newfound inactivity… What if, overnight, no one died anymore?
